End of 2014 I bought two female goats. I bought a goat because he wanted to spend the rest of my savings when college. I bought 2 goat with IDR 2,000,000 or approximately 180 USD. I did have a little money in my bank account, and I wanted to use the money for investment. But what kind of investments that can be done with little money?

When I came home, I saw the potential of outstanding natural. The position of my house is near the forest which allow people in my village for farming, gardening and animal husbandry. Farms in my village are broiler farms to supply to the fast food restaurants in major cities. Seeing great potential, and then I asked my parents about my plans. They give advice to buy a goat, because it is rarely a goat farm in the village.
Eventually I built a small enclosure with a budget that does not issue a lot to buy lumber, roofing, wages, and so forth. I was lucky because there is little land owned by my parents that can be used for the goat, so I do not need to buy or rent land.
When the goat cage is finished, the next step is to buy a goat suit any budget. I went to large farms in several locations, until I found the ideal female goat and fit into my budget.
Why I bought two female goats? Why not buy a pair of male and female goat? Generally considered buying a pair of male and female goats for breeding, in order to get pregnant female goats. But it was not a problem for me, because in order to get fast pregnant female goat, then there are two ways you can do that is artificial insemination, and borrow a male goat from large farms to be mated with a female goat that I have. Artificial insemination does need more budget to pay the vet.
During the initial months I borrowed a male goat from other farms to marry my female goats. Then about two months later visible signs of pregnancy in female goats. And around the eighth month, my female goats gave birth. One female goat had one child, then the other goats had two children. All young goat is the male goat. So that in less than a year, I have five goats.
In the eleventh, female goat seen rarely give milk to their children. And they are visible signs of wanting to get married, then I borrow goats again to marry my female goat. Around eleven months that I bought a goat again, so I have three female goats. In twelve months, the female goats that I show signs of pregnancy. And predicted they would give birth at month 18. There is a possibility that if each goat would have two children.
In general, the female goat is able to give birth to three times in two years. Then, in a birthing process capable of producing more than one goat. By doing the calculations, then with two female goat that I had potential will produce six goats in two years. But in fact the two female goat that I bought in 2014, is currently capable of producing 5 goats. But with the addition of a female goat that I bought in the eleventh month, then increase the number of goats in my goats cage.
In general the goat farm in Indonesia have a market for sacrifice on Eid al-Adha. In addition, goats are usually used for aqiqah and other events. Every Eid al-Adha, Muslims in Indonesia do sacrifice by slaughtering an animal such as a cow or a goat. Well, when Eid al-Adha is usually an increase in the price of goats, especially goats. Declining economic conditions do not become a problem for Muslims to buy sacrificial animals like goats. That's because it is to run the religious laws of Islam.
